NEW YORK, March 06, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aspen Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASPU), an education technology holding company, today announced the WASC Senior College and University Commission’s (WSCUC) formal acceptance of United States University’s (USU’s) Special Visit Review which resulted in confirmation of the university’s accreditation.
At its February 22nd, 2019 meeting, WSCUC provided formal notification of its acceptance of the institutional report as a result of its Special Visit held on November 28-30, 2018. The Special Visit was delayed one year due to Aspen Group, Inc.’s change of ownership that occurred December 1, 2017.

In addition, the Commission commended the commitment to creating an affordable pathway to higher education through AGI’s monthly payment plan.
“We are thrilled that WSCUC has affirmed the great work accomplished by United States University this past year. This is a tribute to the institution’s commitment to a culture of student success, comprehensive and transparent processes, and rigorous academic programs,” said Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Cheri St. Arnauld. “United States University continues the implementation of its mission to provide affordable, relevant and accessible educational opportunities in a supportive student-centered learning environment, with special outreach to underserved groups,” said President Dr. Steven Stargardter of United States University.
